ReNED CDM Conference Programme
The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) - Linkages to Poverty Reduction and
Sustainability

The main objectives of this conference were to:
- identify, analyze and discuss opportunities and limitations of CDM with
regard to sustainability and poverty reduction, focusing on renewable energy,
‘sink’ projects and capacity development
- with a basis in case studies, discuss the success and impacts of different
types CDM projects (or potential CDM projects) in different countries, taking
as a starting point in the requirement that CDM projects must support sustainable
development.
- identify research needs and provide recommendations for strategies for development
assistance including the role of the Danish resource base
