Objectives
The overall objective of ReNED is to assist Danida with integration of recent research results in Danish Development Assistance and thereby contribute to ensuring the relationship between research, consultancy and development, and to solving the problems of developing nations.
The specific objectives of ReNED are to:
- contribute to increased interaction between researchers and practitioners and ensure an improved level of information for the Danish environmental assistance in terms of knowledge and the latest research as well as more efficient coordination of information exchange
- ensure improved information on and utilisation of the Danish resource base in relationship to planning, programming and implementation of the Danish environmental assistance
- strengthen and expand the Danish resource base by including new researchers with limited research experience in developing countries
- strengthen the contact to relevant international and regional research institutions, the private sector and NGOs
- strengthen the contact to and collaboration with institutions and organisations in Danida partner countries, particularly where Danida supports the environmental sector
- contribute to maintenance and development of Danish research capacity focusing on interdisciplinary and interinstitutional collaboration within the field of environment and development research
